Security Forces Kill 41 India-backed Terrorists in Balochistan: ISPR

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday announced that security forces have killed 41 India-backed militants in two separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan, recovering a large cache of ammunition and explosives in the process.

In a statement, the military’s media wing said the terrorists belonging to Indian proxies Fitna al-Khwarij and Fitna al-Hindustan were killed on Jan. 29. It said the first intelligence-based operation was conducted on the outskirts of Harnai district on the reported presence of Fitna al-Khwarij, with 30 India-sponsored Khwarij “sent to hell” after an intense exchange of fire. Following the operation, it said, a large cache of ammunition and explosives was recovered and destroyed.

The second intelligence-based operation, per the ISPR, was conducted in Panjgur District, targeting a terrorist hideout. In this operation, it said, 11 India-sponsored terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan were neutralized. According to the military’s media wing, security forces recovered weapons and ammunition as well as looted money from a bank robbery in Panjgur on Dec. 15, 2025 from the slain terrorists. “The terrorists were involved in numerous terrorist activities in the past,” it said.

The ISPR said sanitization operations are underway in both districts to eliminate any other India-sponsored terrorists found in the area. “Relentless counter terrorism campaign under Vision Azm e Istehkam … by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” it stressed.

Pakistan is currently in the midst of a terror resurgence, with the provinces of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan particularly affected. On Jan. 6, ISPR Director General Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry told a press conference that of the 75,175 intelligence-based operations conducted nationwide in 2025, 14,658 were conducted in KP; 58,778 in Balochistan; and 1,739 in the rest of the country.
