Security forces have killed 32 “India-backed” terrorists during operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan over the past 24 hours, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the military’s media wing said comprehensive joint operations are ongoing in various parts of KP and Balochistan against Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan—the state’s terms for the banned TTP and Baloch terrorist groups—and their facilitators.
“In last 24 hours, security forces have successfully eliminated 32 terrorists of these Indian proxies,” it said. “On night 28/29 July, multiple intelligence-based area sanitization and targeted operations were conducted in district Khyber of KP,” it said, adding security forces had effectively engaged different terrorist locations, killing 24 terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij.
The military’s media wing said security forces also conducted multiple intelligence-based operations in District Nushki of Balochistan, killing eight terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan after an intense engagement. The security forces, it said, also recovered and destroyed weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices used by terrorists.
Sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any other India-sponsored terrorist found in the area, the ISPR added.
