Security Forces Kill 30 Terrorists Linked to Orakzai Attack

Security forces have killed 30 “Indian sponsored khwarij” involved in the terrorist assault on law enforcers in Orakzai district earlier this week, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Thursday.

In a statement, the military’s media wing said forces had been conducting a series of retribution operations against the terrorists involved in the Orakzai incident that resulted in the martyrdom of 11 Army personnel, including Lt. Col. Junaid Tariq and Maj. Tayyab Rahat.

“During the conduct of operation, based on credible intelligence, in general area Jamal Maya, Orakzai District, after intense fire exchanges, all 30 Indian sponsored khwarij involved in the terrorist incident have been sent to hell,” it said. The successful operations, it said, had avenged the killings and brought the main perpetrators to justice.

The ISPR said sanitization operations were ongoing to hunt and eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists in the area. Security forces of Pakistan, it emphasized, are determined and remain steadfast to eradicate and wipe out the menace of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country.

Earlier this week, terrorists attacked security personnel during an intelligence-based operation in Orakzai, martyring 11 soldiers. The exchange of fire saw 19 terrorists shot dead, said the military’s media wing.

In the 272nd Corps Commanders’ Conference on Wednesday, the Army reiterated its commitment to neutralizing Indian-sponsored terror proxies such as Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan. It stressed zero tolerance for the “existing nexus between terror and crime with vested political patronage,” adding this was hurting the interests of the state and security of its people.
