Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met U.A.E. President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on economic, investment and development sectors.
Sheikh Mohamed received the prime minister upon his arrival on a one-day official visit. During their meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, both leaders exchanged Eidul Azha greetings and offered prayers for the continued prosperity of both nations, and peace and stability globally.
They reaffirmed their commitment to deepening constructive ties and broadening their partnership in pursuit of shared interests and national development goals that aim to deliver greater prosperity for both peoples. They also reviewed a range of regional and international issues of mutual concern and exchanged views on recent developments, as well as emphasizing the importance of supporting international efforts to promote stability and strengthen peace both regionally and globally.
Sharif commended the efforts of the U.A.E. president in advancing peace, security and stability at both regional and global levels. He also highlighted the key role played by U.A.E. diplomacy in promoting dialogue and finding common ground for diplomatic solutions to conflicts and crises around the world.
The prime minister also expressed his appreciation for the U.A.E.’s ongoing support to Pakistan and its impactful development initiatives in the country.
London Tech Week
During his visit to the U.A.E., the prime minister also addressed Pakistan’s participation in the London Tech Week 2025, saying the country is committed to accelerating toward a knowledge economy and digital transformation.
Congratulating all stakeholders on Pakistan’s impactful presence at London Tech Week 2025, he said it positioned Pakistan as a forward-looking country that is harnessing technology, innovation and youth potential to engage with the world. “Our presence at such an important platform reflects our growing digital footprint and global ambition,” he said.
He also commended the Ministry of I.T., PSEB, TDAP, and its tech entrepreneurs for presenting Pakistan with vision and purpose. He commented: “Pakistan’s tech future is bright! INSHA ALLAH.”
