Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director-General Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on Friday reiterated that Indian sponsored terrorists are to blame for the bombing in Balochistan’s Khuzdar that has left eight people, including six children, dead and 51 others injured.
In a joint press conference with Interior Secretary Capt. Khurram Muhammad Agha (ret.), the military spokesman alleged India had been involved in terrorist incidents across Pakistan since the country’s inception, adding the government had handed a dossier containing “irrefutable evidence” of the same to the Indian prime minister in 2009.
“The publicly disclosed documents that were released in 2010 are part of history,” he said, recalling the arrest of serving Indian naval officer Kulbushan Jadhav from Balochistan in 2016 had further proven this. “Then in 2019, a dossier full of evidence was presented to the United Nations. Very recently, the international media has seen confessions and acknowledgement of multiple surrendered terrorists of this Fitnah al Hindustan,” he added, using a term coined by the state to refer to terrorists it claims act on instructions of Delhi.
At the onset of the press conference, Agha vowed that Pakistan’s response to the Khuzdar bombing would be “decisive.” Condemning the horrific incident, he said the government stands in full solidarity with the affected families. Maintaining the bombing was not just an act of terrorism, but a direct assault on Pakistan’s traditions and educational values, he said terrorists deliberately targeted schoolchildren in an attempt to destabilize regional peace.
The interior secretary said the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the provincial government and other institutions, is reviewing every aspect of the attack. He alleged India had instructed its proxies to ramp up attacks in Balochistan after the failure of Operation Sindoor. He regretted that after failing to strike hard targets, these elements had now turned to soft targets.
Brutal Face of India
The military spokesman said the Khuzdar attack represented the “terrorist and brutal face of India, stressing such actions had nothing to do with Baloch or Pakistani identity.
Summarizing India’s actions in Balochistan, he said 12 laborers were killed in Nushki on April 12, 2024; two laborers killed in Tump Kech on April 28, 2025; 10 people killed in an IED blast in Harnai on Feb. 14. The Jaffer Express hijacking, which Pakistan had earlier linked to India, targeted innocent civilians and off-duty security personnel, he added.
He maintained that the resilience of the people of Balochistan would not be broken by terrorists targeted women and children.
Playing videos of Indian media, he lamented that they had projected terrorist attacks and celebrated the Khuzdar bombing. “What kind of country celebrates acts of terrorism like this?” he questioned, and noted that on May 11, the Fitna al-Hindustan—a reference to the Baloch Liberation Army—had issued a statement claiming they would fight alongside India if it attacked Pakistan. “Do they think we will be intimidated by their cowardly actions? Absolutely not,” he said and condemned retired Indian generals for inciting violence and exposing the face of Fitna al-Hindustan.
He said such groups had no relation to Baloch identity and were merely acting on Indian instructions. “The whole world is watching—who are the real terrorists?” He accused India of trying to hide its own terrorism by accusing Pakistan.
He recalled that in April, a terrorist was arrested from Jhelum and found to be acting on instructions of the Indian military. “The Indian military is orchestrating terrorism in Pakistan. We have undeniable evidence to prove it,” he maintained.
Balochistan Unrest
The DG ISPR alleged many Baloch surrender once they realize India’s true face and played various clips of surrendered militants. These individuals had admitted to receiving funding from India, he alleged. “Who is orchestrating all this? It’s India,” he reiterated.
Lt. Gen. Chaudhry said thousands of social media accounts were operated by Indian intelligence agencies and are part of coordinated propaganda through outlets like DisinfoLab. He said the surge in terror attacks in Balochistan was a result of the visible pace of development in Balochistan, which was alarming for anti-state elements. “Their worry is justified, as the state is succeeding,” he claimed.
He also rejected slogans of Balochistan’s separation as hollow and misleading, noting the Baloch are well represented in national politics. He noted only 40% of Balochistan’s population is ethnically Baloch, while 30% are Pashtun, along with other ethnic groups. “The real fear of these anti-state actors is that once development accelerates, they won’t find anyone to support their narrative,” he said.
Afghanistan
To a question on Pakistan’s ties with Afghanistan, the military spokesman said the people of Pakistan had always stood with Afghans, hosting millions of refugees and facilitating trade. “Even today, transit trade for Afghanistan continues uninterrupted,” he said, while stressing that Pakistan cannot compromise on its national security out of neighborly concerns. “A single drop of a Pakistani’s blood is more sacred to us than a thousand Afghans,” he said, urging Afghanistan against falling into India’s trap. “Afghanistan must not become the executor of India’s destabilizing designs,” he said, while praising the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in resolving the situation.
To another question, Lt. Gen. Chaudhry reiterated that India had attempted to target Nankana Sahib with drones, maintaining India’s narrative is based on lies. “They even used an on-duty general to spread falsehoods,” he said, reiterating that Pakistan is a responsible state and never targets places of worship.
“Sikh pilgrims receive love and protection in Pakistan. We facilitate their access to sacred sites and preserve deep ties with the Sikh community,” he said.
