The winners of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy are set to earn $2.24 million in addition to the winning trophy when the tournament concludes on March 9.
Out of a total prize pot of $6.9 million, the runner-up of the eight-team tourney will receive $1.12 million. The losing semi-finalists will walk away with $560,000 each. The significant prize money is a 53% increase over the last time the tournament occurred in 2017.
During the tournament, each group match win nets the victors over $34,000. Teams that finish fifth or sixth will each earn $350,000 while teams in seventh and eighth-places will take home $140,000.
Additionally, all eight teams are guaranteed $125,000 each for competing in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025.
The 2025 Champions Trophy is the first global cricket tournament to be hosted in Pakistan since 1996. Spanning two weeks, it will include matches in Karachi, Lahore, Dubai and Rawalpindi. The tournament will see eight teams divided into two groups of four, with the top two teams in each group progressing to the semi-finals.
