Four Terrorists Eliminated in Two KP Operations: ISPR

Security forces on Saturday night killed four terrorists in two separate engagements in the North Waziristan and Khyber districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing announced on Sunday.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the first two Khwarij were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan. Following an intense exchange of fire, it said, the two Khwarij, including Kharji Insafullah, “were sent to hell.”

Separately, during an encounter in Khyber, troops effectively engaged the Khwarij, killing two militants and injuring three others.

According to the ISPR, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who it said were actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against law enforcement agencies and innocent civilians. It said sanitization operations were underway in both regions to eliminate any remaining militants, vowing that security forces of Pakistan were determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.

Pakistan is currently in the midst of a terror resurgence, particularly in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces, with authorities accusing the interim Afghan government of failing to prevent its soil from sheltering terrorists who stage attacks on Pakistani soil.
