Cement dispatches increased to 3.997 million tons in July, a by 30.13% jump over the 3.071 million tons dispatched during the same month in 2024, according to the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA).
The APCMA said it recorded local cement dispatches during July 2025 at 2.988 million tons against 2.524 million tons in July 2024, an 18.40% increase. Export dispatches, meanwhile, increased by 84.21%, jumping from 0.547 million tons in July 2024 to 1.008 million tons in July 2025.
In June 2025, local cement dispatches had totaled 2.597 million tons, indicating a 15% month-on-month jump. Similarly, June’s exports were recorded at 859,204 tons, posting a 17.3% increase to 1.008 million tons in July 2025.
North-based cement bills dispatched 2.650 million tons of cement in July 2025, an increase of 17.61% over the 2.253 million tons dispatched in July 2024. South based mills dispatched 1.35 million tons of cement during July 2025, 64.64% higher than the 0.818 million tons dispatched during July 2024.
Domestically, North based cement mills dispatched 2.419 million tons of cement in July, 12.26% higher than the 2.154 million tons dispatched in the same month last year. South based mills dispatched 569,954 tons of cement locally in July 2025, 54.23% higher than the 369,557 tons dispatched during July 2024.
Meanwhile, North based mills boosted their exports by 133.96% year-on-year, from 99,020 tons in July 2024 to 231,665 tons in July 2025. South-based mills recorded a 73.22% increase from 448,242 tons in July 2024 to 776,459 tons in July 2025.
A spokesman for the APCMA hailed the development, noting the positive momentum at the launch of the new fiscal year coincided with disturbing weather conditions in most parts of the country. He hoped the industry would sustain the momentum in the coming months amidst improving macroeconomic indicators.
